Golden Garlic Butter Potatoes on the Stove
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized potatoes
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Potatoes:
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into approximately 1-inch cubes for even cooking.
2. Preheat and Melt Butter:
- Place a large skillet on the stove over medium heat. Add the unsalted butter and allow it to melt completely.
3. Sauté Garlic:
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter, stirring frequently for about 1 minute until fragrant and lightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Cook Potatoes:
- Add the potato cubes to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the garlic butter mixture.
- Sprinkle the salt and black pepper evenly over the potatoes.
- Stir occasionally and cook the potatoes uncovered for approximately 20 minutes on medium heat, or until they are golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork.
5. Finish and Garnish:
- Once the potatoes are cooked, remove from heat and sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the top if using.
- Transfer the potatoes to a serving dish and enjoy while hot.
