Golden Parmesan Thyme Crisps
Ingredients
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper for easy removal of crisps.
2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme leaves, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
3. Form the Crisps:
Using a spoon, place tablespoon-sized heaps of the Parmesan mixture onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each heap. Gently press each heap down with the back of the spoon to slightly flatten them into circles.
4. Bake the Crisps:
Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges of the crisps are golden brown and the centers are bubbling slightly. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
5. Cool the Crisps:
Remove the baking sheets from the oven and allow the crisps to cool on the sheets for 5 minutes. Once slightly cooled, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. This will help them achieve perfect crispiness.
