Gourmet Oven-Baked Sfoglini Pasta with Spiced Hummus and Vanilla Bitters Glaze
Ingredients
- 12 oz Sfoglini Pasta
- 2 tbsp Piro Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Jacobsen Salt Co. Flake Salt
- 1/2 tsp Diaspora Co. Salt Tiger
- 1 tbsp Curio Spice Co. Spice Blends (choose your favorite blend)
- 1 tbsp Baba's Hummus
- 1/2 tsp Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters
- 1 Sayso Skinny Spicy Margarita Stick (optional, for added spice)
- 6 oz The Lucky Ox Vietnamese Lemonade Sparkler
- 1/4 cup Folds Folded Potato Chips, crushed
- 2 squares Raaka Chocolate Oat Milk Bar, shaved
- 2 pieces Sockerbit Swedish Candy, for garnish
- Additional pinch of Curio Spice Co. Spice Blends for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while you prepare the pasta dish.
2. Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Sfoglini Pasta and cook for about 8 minutes until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
3. Prepare the Spicy Hummus Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine Baba's Hummus, 1/4 cup reserved pasta water, 1 tbsp Piro Olive Oil, 1 tsp Jacobsen Salt Co. Flake Salt, 1/2 tsp Diaspora Co. Salt Tiger, Sayso Skinny Spicy Margarita Stick (if using), and your choice of Curio Spice Co. Spice Blends. Mix until smooth.
4. Mix the Pasta:
Add the cooked pasta to the hummus mixture and toss until evenly coated.
5. Oven-Bake the Pasta:
Transfer the coated pasta into a greased baking dish. Drizzle with the remaining 1 tbsp of Piro Olive Oil and sprinkle the crushed Folds Folded Potato Chips on top for a crunchy texture.
6. Bake:
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes until the top is golden and slightly crispy.
7. Prepare the Vanilla Bitters Glaze:
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters with The Lucky Ox Vietnamese Lemonade Sparkler. Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly reduced and syrupy.
8. Finish and Serve:
Remove the pasta from the oven. Drizzle with the vanilla bitters glaze and a sprinkle of additional Curio Spice Co. Spice Blends. Garnish with shaved Raaka Chocolate Oat Milk Bar and Sockerbit Swedish Candy pieces. Serve immediately.
