Ingredients



- 2 pounds chicken breast or thighs, boneless and skinless, cubed
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 medium carrots, sliced
- 3 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup house cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 quart water
- 2 stew bouillon cubes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Steamed rice or egg noodles (optional, for serving)

Instructions



1. Prepare the Ingredients:
Wash and chop the chicken, onion, carrots, potatoes, and broccoli. Set aside.

2. Sauté the Aromatics:
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

3. Brown the Chicken:
Increase the heat to medium-high. Add the cubed chicken to the pot with the onions and cook until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes.

4. Add Vegetables:
Stir in the sliced carrots, diced potatoes, and broccoli florets. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mix in the house cream and milk. Stir well and let it simmer uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
