Iced Vanilla Espresso Delight
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup freshly brewed espresso
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-2 teaspoons sweetener (such as sugar or honey, adjust to taste)
Instructions
1. Brew Espresso:
- Use a coffee maker or stovetop espresso pot to brew 1/2 cup of espresso. Set aside to cool slightly.
2. Prepare Vanilla Milk:
- In a small saucepan over low heat, warm 1 cup of whole milk gently on the stove until steam begins to rise. Do not let it boil.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and your preferred sweetener (1 to 2 teaspoons), adjusting the level of sweetness to your taste preference. Mix until fully dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let cool down to room temperature or refrigerate for a few minutes to hasten cooling.
3. Assemble the Drink:
- In a serving glass, fill with 1 cup of ice cubes.
- Pour the slightly cooled vanilla milk over the ice.
- Slowly add the brewed espresso on top of the milk; this creates a beautiful layered effect. Gently stir if preferred for an even mix of flavors.
4. Serve:
- Serve immediately for a refreshing breakfast beverage. Optionally, garnish with a light dusting of cocoa powder or a vanilla bean for a decorative touch.
