Indulgent Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients

Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C).
2. Prepare the Ramekins:
- Generously grease four 6-ounce ramekins with butter. Dust with a little flour to coat and tap out any excess. This will help prevent the cakes from sticking.
3. Melt Chocolate and Butter:
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chopped semisweet chocolate and 3/4 cup unsalted butter together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
4. Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Mix thoroughly.
5. Prepare the Batter:
- In a large bowl, beat 4 large eggs together until frothy. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture, stirring continuously to combine.
- Slowly incorporate the cooled chocolate mixture, stirring until smooth and glossy.

- Evenly divide the batter among the prepared ramekins, filling each about three-quarters full.
7. Bake:
- Place ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes. The edges should be firm while the centers remain soft.
8. Plate and Serve:
- Carefully remove the ramekins from the oven. Allow them to sit for 1-2 minutes before inverting each onto a dessert plate. Let them rest for an additional minute to gently release.
- Serve immediately with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or beside each chocolate lava cake.
