Indulgent Microwave S'mores Bars
Ingredients
- 12 honey graham cracker squares
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1 cup dark chocolate morsels
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Place 8 graham cracker squares in a resealable plastic bag and crush them finely with a rolling pin or heavy object until they resemble breadcrumbs.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers with the melted butter. Stir until the mixture is evenly moistened.
2. Assemble the Base:
- In a medium-sized microwavable dish, press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom to form an even layer. Use the back of a spoon to assist in evenly compressing the mixture.
3. Create the Filling:
- In a separate bowl, mix the powdered sugar with the crunchy peanut butter. This will form a thick and creamy paste.
- Gently layer the peanut butter mixture over the graham cracker crust, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
4. Add the Marshmallow Fluff:
- Spread the marshmallow fluff over the peanut butter layer evenly. For easier spreading, slightly dampen the spatula to prevent the fluff from sticking.
5. Top with Chocolate:
- Sprinkle the dark chocolate morsels evenly over the marshmallow layer.
6. Microwave to Melt and Set:
- Place the assembled dish in the microwave. Microwave on high for approximately 1 to 2 minutes or until the chocolate is melted and the marshmallow fluff becomes bubbly.
- Remove from microwave and gently tap the dish to ensure an even spread, if necessary.
7. Cool and Serve:
- Allow the S’mores Bars to cool completely, either at room temperature for about 30 minutes or in the refrigerator for 10 minutes until set.
- Once cooled, cut into bars with a sharp knife by cutting along the edges of the remaining whole graham crackers, creating 12 bars.
