Irresistible Cheese-Stuffed Pan-Fried Sandwich
Ingredients
- 8 slices of sourdough bread
- 8 ounces of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 ounces of cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- Salt, to taste

Instructions
1. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
2. Assemble the Sandwiches:
Lay out the sourdough bread slices. Evenly spread the cheese mixture over 4 slices of bread. Top each with another bread slice to form sandwiches.
3. Butter the Bread:
With a spatula, spread a thin layer of softened butter on the outside of each sandwich slice. This will ensure a golden, crispy crust.
4. Heat the Pan:
In a large non-stick pan, add the olive oil and heat over medium heat until shimmering.
5. Cook the Sandwiches:
Place the sandwiches in the hot pan. Cook for about 3 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese inside has melted. Press down gently with a spatula to enhance contact and even browning.
6. Serve:
Remove the sandwiches from the pan and let them cool for a minute before slicing in half. Serve warm.
