Irresistible Cinnamon-Pecan Breakfast Biscuit Bake
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits (16.3 oz)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get started. This will ensure it's hot enough by the time your biscuits are ready to go in.
2. Prepare the Pan
Generously butter a 9x13-inch baking dish using 1 tablespoon of the melted butter from your list of ingredients. This will help prevent sticking and add extra richness to the final dish.
3. Cut the Biscuits
Remove the biscuits from the can and cut each one into fourths. This step makes the biscuits more bite-sized and easier to separate after baking.
4. Mix Sugar and Cinnamon
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon until well mixed.
5. Coat Biscuits
Take the biscuit pieces and dip each one into the remaining melted butter before rolling them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, making sure they get a good coating.
6. Layering
Spread half of the pecans evenly in the prepared baking dish. Place half of the coated biscuit pieces over the pecans. Repeat the layers with the rest of the pecans and biscuit pieces.
7. Bake
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes, or until the biscuits are a deep golden brown and fully cooked through.
8. Cool and Serve
Allow the biscuit bake to cool in the dish for about 5 minutes. This will make it easier to handle and let the sugars set a bit. Serve warm and enjoy your sweet, nutty breakfast treat.
