Irresistible Honey Maple Roasted Almonds
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon walnut oil
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Almonds:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the almonds, sea salt, and ground cinnamon. Stir until the almonds are evenly coated with the dry mixture.
3. Make the Syrup Mixture:
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the honey, maple syrup, vanilla extract, walnut oil, and avocado oil.
- Stir the mixture gently until it's smooth and well blended, about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to overheat and scorch the mixture.
4. Coat the Almonds:
- Pour the warm syrup mixture over the almonds in the mixing bowl.
- Stir thoroughly to ensure each almond is coated evenly with the syrup mixture.
5. Roast the Almonds:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Spread the coated almonds in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
6. Bake the Almonds:
- Bake the almonds for 15-20 minutes, stirring once or twice to ensure even roasting.
- Keep a close watch during the last few minutes to prevent burning. The almonds should be golden and fragrant.
7. Cool the Almonds:
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the almonds cool complete on the baking sheet.
- Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. The almonds will continue to harden as they cool.
8. Serve or Store:
- Once completely cooled, transfer the almonds to an airtight container for storage, or serve them immediately for a delightful snack.
