Irresistible No-Bake Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars



Ingredients



- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 cups oatmeal (quick-cooking oats preferred)
- 1 cup pretzels, roughly crushed
- 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped

Instructions



1. Prepare Your Materials:
Gather a medium-sized saucepan, a wooden spoon, and an 8x8-inch baking dish. Line the dish with parchment paper, allowing some of the paper to hang over the edges for easy lifting later.

2. Melt the Butter:
In the saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir occasionally to ensure it doesn't brown or burn.

3. Add Sweetness and Flavors:
Once the butter is fully melted, add brown sugar and granulated sugar. Stir continuously until sugars are dissolved, and the mixture is smooth.

4. Mix in Wet Ingredients:
Slowly pour in the milk while stirring. Add the peanut butter and continue stirring until completely blended. Reduce heat to low and stir in vanilla extract and salt.

5. Incorporate Dry Ingredients:
Remove the saucepan from heat. Gently fold the oatmeal, crushed pretzels, and chopped peanuts into the peanut butter mixture until all pieces are evenly coated.

6. Form the Bars:
Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down firmly and evenly with the back of your spoon or spatula.

7. Set the Bars:
Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to the refrigerator to set for at least 1 hour.

8. Cut and Serve:
Once set, use the overhanging parchment paper to lift the block from the dish. Cut into 16 even bars and serve as a delicious snack.
