Irresistible Pan-Fried Salmon Burgers with Zesty Tartar Sauce



Ingredients


- For the Salmon Patties:
- 1 pound salmon fillet, skinless
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- For Assembly:
- 4 burger buns
- Tartar sauce, for spreading
- Lettuce leaves

Instructions



1. Prepare the Salmon Mixture:
- Cut the salmon into small chunks and place in a food processor. Pulse until coarsely ground; avoid over-processing.
- Transfer the ground salmon to a large mixing bowl.
- Add Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper to the salmon.
- Gently mix until all ingredients are incorporated.

2. Form the Patties:
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty, roughly the size of your burger buns.

3. Pan-Fry the Salmon Patties:
- Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Once the oil is shimmering, add the salmon patties.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 145°F.

4. Assemble the Salmon Burgers:
- Toast the burger buns lightly in a separate pan or under a broiler for added texture.
- Spread tartar sauce on the cut sides of each bun.
- Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a salmon patty.
- Top with the other half of the bun.

5. Serve:
- Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your gourmet salmon burgers.
