Irresistible Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

Ingredients

- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg
- 1 Egg Yolk
- 1 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 24 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) for optimal baking conditions.

2. Prepare the wet ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, softened unsalted butter, sugar, and brown sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
- Add in the vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk. Mix until well combined.

3. Mix the dry ingredients
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt to ensure even distribution.

4. Combine and form dough
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, beating at low speed until a dough forms. Scrape the sides of the bowl as necessary to incorporate all ingredients.

5. Shape the cookies
- Scoop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough and roll them into balls. Place each ball onto an ungreased baking sheet approximately 2 inches apart.

6. Bake the cookies
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until they are golden brown and slightly cracked on top.

7. Add the Hershey’s Kisses
- Immediately after removing the cookies from the oven, press one Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie. Be careful, as the cookies will be hot.

8. Cool
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
