Irresistible Pumpkin Spice Latte Delight
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened pumpkin purée
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice mix
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot espresso or 1 tablespoon instant espresso granules
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee
- 2 cups milk (any type of your choice, e.g., whole, almond, or oat)
- Whipped cream, for topping
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pumpkin Mixture:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Stir until sugars are completely dissolved, about 3 minutes.
- Add the unsweetened pumpkin purée and pumpkin spice mix. Stir continuously to prevent sticking.
- Allow the mixture to cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it begins to thicken.
2. Flavor the Mixture:
- Remove saucepan from heat, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Integrate the hot espresso or the instant espresso granules. Mix well to combine.
3. Combine with Coffee:
- Return the saucepan to the stove over low heat.
- Pour in the strong brewed coffee and milk.
- Continue to heat gently, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is hot but not boiling, approximately 3-5 minutes.
4. Serve:
- Split evenly between four mugs.
- Top each with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and freshly grated nutmeg for garnish.
