Lemon Herb Roasted Salmon: A Gourmet Oven-Baked Delight
Ingredients
- 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin-on
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced thin (for garnish)
- Cooking spray or parchment paper
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Allow it to preheat fully to ensure even cooking.
2. Prepare the Baking Sheet:
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
3. Create the Marinade:
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, fresh dill, fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
4. Marinate the Salmon:
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down.
- Drizzle the lemon herb marinade over the salmon, using a brush or spoon to ensure they are evenly coated. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
5. Bake the Salmon:
- Bake in the preheated oven for around 12-15 minutes. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and has an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
6. Garnish and Serve:
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 3-5 minutes. Garnish with lemon slices.
- Serve warm with your choice of side dishes.
