Maple-Spiced Breakfast Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients

- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with a touch of butter or non-stick spray.

2. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, pumpkin spice, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Stir well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.

3. Mix Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.

4. Combine All Ingredients
Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until all the oats are moistened. If using, gently fold in the chopped pecans.

5. Transfer to Baking Dish
Pour the oatmeal mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly with a spatula.

6. Bake the Oatmeal
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 30 to 35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

7. Serve
Allow the baked oatmeal to cool slightly, then cut into squares. Serve warm with an extra drizzle of maple syrup if desired.
