Microwave Blueberry Chocolate Hazelnut Breakfast Crumble
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup crushed hazelnuts
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Blueberries:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of fresh blueberries with 1/2 cup of chocolate hazelnut spread and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until the blueberries are evenly coated. Set aside.
2. Prepare the Crumble Topping:
- In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of rolled oats, 1/4 cup of crushed hazelnuts, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Stir to combine.
3. Add the Butter:
- Pour 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter over the oatmeal-hazelnut mixture. Use your hands or a fork to mix until crumbly.
4. Assemble the Crumble:
- Spread the blueberry mixture evenly at the bottom of a microwave-safe dish.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the blueberry base.
5. Microwave Cooking:
- Place the dish in the microwave and cook on medium-high power for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until the blueberry mixture is bubbly and the oats are golden and toasted. Check every 2 minutes to prevent the topping from burning.
6. Rest and Serve:
- Let the dish cool in the microwave for about 5 minutes before serving. This allows the crumble to set and enhances the flavors.
