Microwave Spaghetti and Meatballs with Parmesan Herb Magic
Ingredients
- 8 oz Spaghetti
- 12 Meatballs, fully cooked and frozen
- 2 cups Red Sauce
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Fresh Basil, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (for non-stick purposes, optional)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the microwave-safe dish:
Lightly coat a large microwave-safe bowl with olive oil. This helps prevent sticking as the pasta and meatballs are microwaved.
2. Cook the spaghetti:
Place the spaghetti in the bowl and fill with water until the pasta is fully submerged. Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe lid or plate. Microwave on high for PT10M (10 minutes), stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking. Drain excess water carefully.
3. Warm the meatballs and red sauce:
In the same bowl, add the fully cooked frozen meatballs and cover them with the red sauce. Stir in the minced garlic and cover the bowl again. Microwave on high for PT5M (5 minutes), ensuring the meatballs are heated thoroughly.
4. Combine and finish:
Mix the cooked spaghetti with the heated meatballs and sauce. Stir in half of the grated Parmesan cheese and the chopped fresh basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Microwave on high for an additional PT2M (2 minutes) to meld flavors.
5. Garnish and serve:
Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese and a few fresh basil leaves on top before serving to add visual appeal and a burst of flavor.
