Orange-Infused Chocolate Dipped Delights
Ingredients
- 3 medium oranges, peeled and segmented
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, optional for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oranges:
Peel the oranges and carefully separate them into individual segments. Ensure all the white pith is removed for a clean and appealing presentation. Set aside.
2. Melt the Chocolate:
In a small saucepan, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat over low flame, stirring continuously until the chocolate is smooth and melted completely. This should take around PT5M (5 minutes).
3. Dip the Orange Segments:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Take each orange segment and dip halfway into the melted chocolate. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the segment on the prepared baking sheet.
4. Garnish with Sea Salt:
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a small pinch of sea salt over the chocolate-dipped portion of each orange segment, if desired, for an extra flavor burst.
5. Set the Chocolate:
Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for PT15M (15 minutes) to allow the chocolate to harden completely.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
Once set, remove the segments from the refrigerator and serve immediately. These delightful snacks are best enjoyed fresh and can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
