Oven-Baked Fig & Ricotta Delight



Ingredients



- 1 cup fresh figs, sliced
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar for dusting

Instructions



1. Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to preheat fully, which should take about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a 9x9 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly with butter.

2. Prepare the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes.

3. Incorporate the Eggs
Add the eggs, one at a time, into the butter-sugar mixture, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract to enhance the flavor.

4. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, using a spatula until just combined. Take care not to overmix.

5. Combine Ricotta and Figs

6. Bake the Dessert
