Oven-Baked Garlic Lemon Parmesan Pecorino Delight
Ingredients
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (approximately one lemon)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Garlic and Lemon Mixture
In a small mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix well.
3. Combine Cheeses and Seasonings
In a separate bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan, Pecorino Romano, salt, and black pepper.
4. Create the Breadcrumb Coating
Add the cheese mixture to the breadcrumbs. Pour the garlic and lemon mixture over the breadcrumbs. Mix thoroughly until all breadcrumbs are coated with the mixture.
5. Bake the Breadcrumb Mixture
Spread the breadcrumb mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the mixture is golden brown and crisp. Stir halfway through to ensure even baking.
6. Serve and Garnish
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. If desired, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
