Oven-Baked Lemon Herb Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat fully, ensuring even cooking.
2. Prepare Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried oregano, half of the fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until all ingredients are well incorporated.
3. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to help the flavors meld.
4. Arrange in Baking Dish: Once marinated, remove the chicken from the refrigerator. Place the chicken breasts into a baking dish. Pour any remaining marinade over the chicken, and add the white wine to the dish for added moisture.
