Oven-Baked Loaded Potato Beef Sliders
Ingredients
- 4 large Russet potatoes
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices cheese (e.g., cheddar or American)
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 packet Sazón seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for coating)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Potatoes:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
- Cut each potato into halves lengthwise to create a flat surface for filling.
- With a spoon, scoop out a portion of the center flesh, creating a well in each half. Save the scooped-out potato for another use or discard.
- Brush each potato half with olive oil, and lightly season with salt and pepper.
- Place the potato halves on a baking sheet with the cut side facing up.
2. Bake the Potatoes:
- Place the baking sheet with the potatoes in the preheated oven.
- Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and edges are golden brown.
3. Prepare the Beef Filling:
- While the potatoes are baking, heat a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Stir and cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Season the beef with the Sazón seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, remaining salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Assemble the Sliders:
- Remove the baked potato halves from the oven safely and place them on a cooling rack.
- Layer each potato "slider bun" with a portion of the seasoned beef mixture.
- Top each with a slice of cheese.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
5. Garnish and Serve:
- Remove from the oven and add a slice of tomato and a pinch of shredded lettuce atop the melted cheese for a fresh crunch.
- Arrange the loaded sliders on a serving platter and enjoy these delightful textures and flavors for lunch!
