Oven-Baked Mini Cheeseburger Sliders
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground sirloin
- 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 8 slices of cheddar or American cheese
- 8 sweet dinner rolls or slider buns
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare the Ground Sirloin Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground sirloin, 1/2 cup of seasoned breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of finely chopped onions, and 1 teaspoon of kosher salt. Use your hands to mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended.
3. Shape the Patties:
Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a small patty, roughly the size of each bun.
4. Bake the Patties:
Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the patties reaches 160°F (71°C).
5. Add the Cheese:
Remove the patties from the oven and immediately top each one with a slice of cheddar or American cheese. Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Prepare the Buns:
While the cheese melts, slice the sweet dinner rolls or slider buns if they aren't pre-sliced.
7. Assemble the Sliders:
Place each cheesy patty on the bottom half of a bun, cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
