Ingredients
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1 (16-ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 2 cups prepared country-style gravy
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare Baking Dish:
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
3. Cook Sausage:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully cooked and browned, about 8 minutes. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
4. Layer Biscuit Base:
Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough. Cut each biscuit into quarters and evenly spread the pieces on the bottom of the greased baking dish.
5. Add Sausage:
