Oven-Roasted Garlic Parmesan Potato Wedges
Ingredients
- 4 large Russet potatoes
- 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Prepare the potatoes: Thoroughly wash and scrub the Russet potatoes. Cut each potato into wedges by first halving lengthwise, then slicing each half into three or four wedges, depending on size.
3. Melt the butter: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the salted butter. Set aside to cool slightly.
4. Season the potatoes: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until a paste forms.
5. Coat the wedges: Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss to ensure each wedge is evenly coated with the seasoned butter mixture.
6. Arrange for roasting: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the potato wedges in a single layer, skin-side down, on the prepared baking sheet for optimal roasting.
7. Roast the potatoes: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 25-30 minutes, turning the wedges once halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
8. Serve: Remove from the oven and let the wedges cool slightly. Transfer to a serving platter. Optionally, sprinkle additional grated Parmesan and freshly chopped parsley over the top before serving.
