Oven-Roasted Spiced Nut and Seed Mix

Ingredients

- 1 cup hazelnuts
- 1 cup almonds
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This will ensure an even roast for your nut and seed mix.

2. Prepare the Baking Sheet:
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.

3. Combine the Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, add the hazelnuts, almonds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds. Toss to mix thoroughly.

4. Season the Mix:
- Add Aleppo pepper flakes, smoked paprika, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper to the nut and seed mixture. Stir well to evenly coat all the ingredients with the spices.

5. Bake:
- Spread the seasoned nut and seed mix evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the nuts and seeds are golden brown and aromatic.

6. Cool and Serve:
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the mix cool completely on the sheet.
- Once cooled, transfer to an airtight container for storage, or serve immediately for a warm, crunchy snack.
