Oven-Roasted Za'atar Brussels Sprouts with Lemon-Parmesan Glaze



Ingredients



- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon za'atar
- 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions



1. Preheat Your Oven
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) for optimal roasting.

2. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
- Trim the ends and halve the Brussels sprouts. Rinse with cold water and pat dry thoroughly using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

3. Season the Brussels Sprouts
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

4. Roast the Brussels Sprouts
- Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden brown and tender.

5. Prepare the Glaze
- While the sprouts are roasting, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, combine za'atar, mustard, Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Stir together to form a thick paste.

6. Coat the Brussels Sprouts
- Once the Brussels sprouts are done, transfer them back to the mixing bowl.
- Add the prepared glaze and toss gently to coat the sprouts evenly.

7. Final Roasting
- Return the coated Brussels sprouts to the same baking sheet and roast for an additional 5 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize slightly.
