Pan-Fried Chicken with Garlic White Wine Sauce and Mozzarella
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup white wine
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken:
- Season chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
2. Cook the Chicken:
- Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the butter.
- Once melted, add the chicken breasts. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
3. Prepare the Sauce:
- In the same pan, reduce the heat to medium, add the minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the white wine, scraping any brown bits from the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the wine slightly reduces.
4. Combine Ingredients:
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the pan with the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
5. Assemble the Dish:
- Return the cooked chicken to the pan.
- Top each chicken breast with shredded mozzarella cheese and crumbled bacon.
- Cover the pan with a lid for about 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts completely.
6. Garnish and Serve:
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves over the chicken.
- Serve hot with your choice of side dish.
