Pan-Fried Lemon Garlic Chicken with Tahini Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast cutlets
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients:
- Juice the lemons to obtain about 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- Mince the garlic cloves and chop the parsley.
2. Marinate the Chicken:
- In a bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Place the chicken breast cutlets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes to an hour for better flavor.
3. Prepare the Tahini Sauce:
- In a small bowl, combine tahini with 1/4 cup water. Stir until smooth.
- Add a tablespoon of lemon juice and a pinch of salt to taste. Set aside.
4. Pan-Fry the Chicken:
- Heat the extra-virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken cutlets to the skillet.
- Cook them for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
5. Garnish and Serve:
- Drizzle the prepared tahini sauce over the chicken.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
- Serve immediately for best taste.
