Pan-Fried Steak with Bacon-Cranberry Noodle Medley

Ingredients

- 4 (6 oz) pork steaks
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 stalks of celery, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 4 oz burrata cheese
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1/2 cup croutons
- Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients:
- Cook rice according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the egg noodles for about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Pan-Fry the Bacon:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes.
- Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate. Leave the bacon fat in the skillet.

3. Cook the Vegetables:
- Add onion, bell pepper, celery, and broccoli to the skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
- Stir in cabbage and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Remove vegetables and set aside.

4. Pan-Fry the Pork Steaks:
- Season pork steaks with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In the same skillet used for the vegetables, add the pork steaks. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

5. Combine Ingredients:
- Reduce skillet heat to medium. Return cooked vegetables to the skillet.
- Stir in cooked rice, noodles, cranberries, and pineapple chunks. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until the mixture is heated through.

6. Plate the Dish:
- Divide the noodle medley among plates. Top each serving with sliced pork steak.
- Add a portion of burrata cheese, chopped tomato, and croutons on top.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side if desired for a unique flavor contrast.
