Pan-Seared Lemon Herb Chicken with Garlic Butter Asparagus
Ingredients

Instructions
1. Prepare the Marinade:
- In a medium bowl, combine the lemon zest and juice, olive oil, oregano, thyme, and minced garlic. Mix well.
2. Marinate the Chicken:
- Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for enhanced flavor.
3. Sear the Chicken:
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess. Season each breast with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts. Sear the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through and golden brown. Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a plate.

- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Add the asparagus to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
5. Final Touch:
- Arrange the chicken breasts and garlic butter asparagus on a serving platter. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
