Peach Cinnamon Bread Delight with Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 8 slices white bread
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Peach Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Toss the mixture gently to ensure the peaches are evenly coated.
3. Prepare the Bread
Spread 1/2 tablespoon of softened unsalted butter on one side of each white bread slice. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the buttered side.
4. Assemble the Bread Delight
Lay 4 slices of bread, buttered-side down, on a baking sheet. Distribute the peach mixture evenly across the 4 slices. Cover with the remaining 4 slices of bread, buttered-side up, to form sandwiches.
5. Bake
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes until the bread is lightly golden and the peaches are cooked through.
6. Serve
Remove from the oven and allow the bread delights to cool slightly. Cut each sandwich diagonally. Serve warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Enjoy immediately!
