Perfectly Oven-Roasted Chickpea Snack
Ingredients
- 2 (15 oz) cans of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra spice)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 400°F (204°C) and allow it to preheat while you prepare the chickpeas.
2. Prepare the Chickpeas:
After draining and rinsing the chickpeas, spread them out on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Pat them dry thoroughly to ensure they roast evenly.
3. Season the Chickpeas:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried chickpeas with olive oil, sea salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, ground cumin, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the chickpeas are evenly coated with the oil and spices.
4. Prepare Baking Sheet:

5. Roast the Chickpeas:
