- 1 lb frozen broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Prepare the broccoli: Remove the frozen broccoli from its packaging, and spread it out evenly on a large baking sheet. No need to thaw them!
3. Coat with olive oil: Drizzle the 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the broccoli. Using your hands or a spatula, gently toss the broccoli to ensure each floret is lightly coated.
4. Season: Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of kosher salt evenly over the broccoli.
5. Roast: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the broccoli for about 25–30 minutes. During this time, the edges should develop a golden brown color, which adds an appealing crispiness and depth of flavor. Halfway through the cooking time (around 15 minutes), use a spatula to flip the broccoli to promote even roasting.
6. Check for doneness: After 25–30 minutes, remove from the oven and check for tenderness. The broccoli should be tender on the inside with crispy edges.
7. Serve: Remove from the oven and let sit for a few minutes before serving. This simple dish makes an excellent side for any lunch menu.
