1. Preparation
Begin by allowing the standing rib roast to come to room temperature. Remove the roast from the refrigerator at least 1 hour before cooking.

2. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).

3. Season the Roast
In a small bowl, combine the kosher salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and softened butter. Mix well to form a uniform paste.

4. Apply the Butter Mixture
