Pumpkin Spice Custard Delight
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin purée
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 and 1/2 cups whole milk
- 3 large eggs
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Prepare your baking dish by lightly greasing it with butter or non-stick spray. Set aside.
2. Combine Pumpkin Base:
- In a large mixing bowl, add the pumpkin purée, sugar, and salt. Stir until well combined.
3. Add Spices:
- Sprinkle in the ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. Mix thoroughly to incorporate the spices evenly throughout the pumpkin mixture.
4. Incorporate Milk:
- Gradually pour in the whole milk, stirring continuously, until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
5. Beat the Eggs:
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until they are frothy. Slowly add the eggs to the pumpkin mixture, stirring gently until completely mixed.
6. Pour and Prep for Baking:
- Carefully pour the custard mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
7. Bake the Custard:
- Place the baking dish on the middle rack of the preheated oven.
- Bake for approximately PT45M (45 minutes) or until the center is set and no longer jiggles when gently shaken.
8. Cool:
- Remove from the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before serving.
