Refreshing Avocado and Citrus Fruit Snack Delight
Ingredients
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 lime
- 1 lemon
- 1 medium apple
- 1 medium banana
- Plastic wrap (for covering)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Avocado:
- Cut the avocado in half and carefully remove the pit.
- Scoop out the avocado flesh using a spoon and cut into small, bite-sized cubes.
- Set aside in a medium bowl.
2. Prepare the Citrus Fruits:
- Zest half of the lime and one-quarter of the lemon; set the zest aside for garnish.
- Squeeze the juice from the lime and lemon.
- Pour the citrus juices over the avocado pieces to prevent browning and add a fresh, tangy flavor.
3. Prepare Apple and Banana:
- Core and chop the apple into small cubes, similar in size to the avocado cubes.
- Slice the banana into discs.
- Add both the apple cubes and banana slices to the bowl with the avocado.
4. Mix and Chill:
- Gently toss the avocado, apple, and banana together, ensuring all fruit pieces are evenly coated with the citrus juices.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes for the flavors to meld.
5. Serve:
- Remove the bowl from the refrigerator and remove the plastic wrap.
- Sprinkle the reserved lime and lemon zest over the top for an added zing and a pop of color.
