Refreshing Black Tea Citrus Fizz
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 4 black tea bags
- 2 cups lemon-lime soda
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Boil Water:
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
2. Brew Tea:
- Once the water has boiled, remove it from the heat. Add 4 black tea bags to the hot water.
- Cover and let the tea steep for about 5 minutes. This will ensure a strong tea base.
3. Cool the Tea:
- Remove and discard the tea bags carefully. Let the brewed tea cool to room temperature, which will take approximately 15 minutes.
- For faster cooling, you can transfer the tea to a heat-resistant container and refrigerate for another 15 minutes.
4. Mix with Soda:
- Once the tea is completely cooled, slowly mix in 2 cups of lemon-lime soda. Stir gently to maintain the carbonation.
5. Serve:
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the black tea citrus fizz over the ice.
- Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for an added touch of freshness and visual appeal.
