Roasted Oak-Barrel Pepper Delight
Ingredients
- 1 pound oak-barrel-aged peppers
- 1/2 teaspoon non-iodized salt
- 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Prepare the Peppers: Rinse the oak-barrel-aged peppers under cool water to remove any dust or debris. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
3. Season the Peppers: Place the peppers in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the distilled white vinegar over them, ensuring each pepper is coated. Sprinkle in the non-iodized salt and toss gently to distribute the seasoning evenly.
4. Roast the Peppers: Spread the seasoned peppers in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
5. Cooking Time: Roast the peppers for approximately 20 minutes, turning them halfway through to ensure they roast evenly. You want the peppers to be lightly charred but not burned.
6. Cool and Serve: Once roasted, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Allow the peppers to cool slightly before serving. You may serve them warm or at room temperature as a delightful snack.
