Ingredients
- 12 large button mushrooms
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Mushrooms:
Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth. Carefully remove the stems, creating a hollow inside for the stuffing.
2. Make the Filling:
In a medium bowl, combine the chopped basil, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
3. Stuff the Mushrooms:
Using a small spoon, carefully fill each mushroom cap with the cheese and basil mixture. Ensure each cap is slightly overfilled to form a small mound.
