Savory Ginger Garlic Tofu Stir Fry



Ingredients



- 1 pound firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 medium carrots, julienned
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions



1. Prepare the Tofu:
- Begin by pressing the tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.

2. Create the Marinade:
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Add the tofu cubes to the bowl, gently tossing them to ensure each piece is coated. Let the tofu marinate for at least 15 minutes.

3. Prep the Vegetables:
- While the tofu is marinating, prepare the vegetables by julienning the carrots, and slicing the bell peppers and green onions. Break the broccoli into small florets.

4. Begin the Stir Fry:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large, non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

5. Cook the Tofu:
- Add the marinated tofu to the pan. Stir-fry the tofu, turning occasionally, until it is golden brown on each side. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.

6. Stir Fry Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of sesame oil. Add the carrots, bell peppers, and broccoli, stirring frequently. Cook the vegetables until they are tender but still retain a slight crunch, about 5 minutes.

7. Combine Ingredients:
- Return the cooked tofu to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir well to combine and allow the flavors to meld for an additional 2 minutes.

8. Garnish and Serve:
- Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle the stir fry with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
