Savory Pan-Fried Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs



Ingredients



- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 2 pounds total)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions



1. Prepare the Chicken:
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to ensure a crisp skin. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

2. Heat the Pan:
Place a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, allowing it to melt and foam slightly before adding the chicken thighs.

3. Cook the Chicken Thighs:
Add the chicken thighs to the pan, skin-side down. Sear for about 7 minutes or until the skin is golden brown and crispy. Flip the chicken and reduce the heat to medium. Continue cooking for another 12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, and the juices run clear.

4. Garlic Butter Mixture:
While the chicken is cooking, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant and lightly golden, being careful not to let it burn.

5. Finish with Parsley:
Once the chicken is fully cooked, pour the garlic butter over the thighs. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley evenly over the top.

6. Rest and Serve:
Allow the chicken to rest for about 5 minutes before serving to lock in the juices. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
