Savory Sautéed Tomato Medley Snack
Ingredients
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
1. Prepare the Tomatoes: Start by rinsing the cherry and grape tomatoes under cold water. Cut each tomato in half and set aside.
2. Heat the Oil: In a large non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Allow the oil to warm but not smoke.
3. Add Garlic: Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant, ensuring not to brown it to avoid bitterness.
4. Sauté Tomatoes: Add the halved cherry and grape tomatoes to the skillet. Increase the heat to medium-high and stir occasionally. Cook for approximately 5 minutes until the tomatoes begin to soften.
5. Season the Tomatoes: Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper over the sautéing tomatoes. Stir gently to ensure even seasoning.
6. Add Herbs: Remove the skillet from the heat and immediately add freshly chopped basil and parsley. Toss gently to coat the tomatoes evenly with the herbs.
7. Serve: Transfer the sautéed tomato medley into a serving dish and serve warm as a delightful snack.
