Savory Shrimp & Cabbage Stir
Ingredients
- 1 medium head of cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 large carrots, julienned
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound bay shrimp, peeled and deveined
Instructions
1. Prepare the Vegetables:
- Thinly slice the cabbage and julienne the carrots. Set aside.
2. Make the Dressing:
- In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well-combined.
3. Cook the Shrimp:
- Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat on the stove.
- Add the bay shrimp to the pan, cooking for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
4. Cook the Vegetables:
- Using the same pan, add the sliced cabbage and julienned carrots.
- Stir fry the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but still slightly crisp.
5. Combine and Finish:
- Add the cooked shrimp back to the pan with the cabbage and carrots.
- Pour the mayonnaise dressing over the shrimp and vegetables.
- Stir well to evenly distribute the dressing, ensuring all ingredients are coated.
6. Serve:
- Transfer the Shrimp & Cabbage Stir to a serving platter or individual plates.
