Savory Shrimp & Chicken Puff Pastry Delight
Ingredients

- 1/4 cup almonds, slivered
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tablespoons mixed spices (e.g., paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper)
Instructions
1. Preparation:
- Thaw the puff pastry sheets according to package instructions. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Cooking the Stir Fry:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken slices and shrimp, stir-frying for 4-5 minutes until they begin to color. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter. Stir-fry the steak slices for about 3 minutes until browned, then add to the chicken and shrimp.
3. Vegetable Stir Fry:
- Using the same skillet, add the onions and mushrooms. Stir fry for 3 minutes until the onions become translucent.
- Add bell peppers, cabbage, and almonds. Cook for another 4 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Return the stir-fried meats to the skillet, combining with the vegetables.
- Season with the mixed spices and lemon juice, stir well to ensure all elements are covered. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
4. Assembling the Pastry:
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
- Divide the stir-fry mixture evenly and place it onto half of each pastry sheet.
- Fold over the puff pastry to enclose the filling, pressing the edges to seal tightly.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
5. Baking:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
6. Serving:
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Slice into portions and garnish with any remaining almonds.
