Savory Stir-Fried Napa Cabbage with Sesame and Garlic



Ingredients


- 1 large Napa cabbage, chopped
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 5 green onions, sliced

Instructions



1. Preparation:
- Wash and chop the Napa cabbage into bite-sized pieces.
- Slice the green onions, setting aside the white and green parts separately.
- Mince the garlic cloves and set aside.

2. Toasting Sesame Seeds:
- In a large dry skillet over medium heat, add the sesame seeds.
- Stir continuously for about 2 minutes, until they turn light golden brown and fragrant. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3. Cooking the Cabbage:
- In the same skillet, add the toasted sesame oil and heat over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and the white parts of the green onions. Sauté for about 1 minute until they are fragrant and lightly golden.
- Add the chopped Napa cabbage to the skillet. Stir well to coat the cabbage with the oil and garlic mixture.
- Season with sea salt and black pepper, and continue to stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still crisp.

4. Finishing Touches:
- Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds and the green parts of the green onions over the cabbage.
- Toss everything together for an additional 1-2 minutes to combine flavors.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious, savory cabbage dish!
