Savory Turkey & Avocado Pan-Fried Lunch Sandwich



Ingredients



- 8 slices of bread
- 1 pound of turkey breast slices
- 8 slices of cheese (your choice, such as cheddar or provolone)
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup pesto
- 1/4 cup chipotle aioli
- 1/4 cup honey mustard
- 2 tablespoons butter for frying

Instructions



1. Prepare the Sandwich Base
Lay out 8 slices of bread on a clean, flat surface. Evenly spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice.

2. Layer the Ingredients
On four slices of bread, layer as follows:
- Start with a layer of turkey breast slices (about 4 ounces per sandwich).
- Top with 2 slices of cheese.
- Add a leaf of lettuce.
- Place several tomato slices.
- Add a few avocado slices for creaminess.

3. Spread the Flavors
Evenly divide and spread cranberry sauce on the turkey layer on each sandwich. On the remaining four slices of bread, spread a mixture of pesto, chipotle aioli, and honey mustard.

4. Assemble Sandwiches
Close each sandwich by placing the prepared bread slices (with pesto, aioli, and honey mustard) over the layered turkey and cheese layers, sauce side down.

5. Pan Fry the Sandwiches
Heat a non-stick skillet or large frying pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt. Carefully add two sandwiches at a time, checking them to avoid overcrowding.

6. Cook Each Side
Pan fry the sandwiches for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted. Press down slightly with a spatula during frying for even cooking.

7. Serve Warm
Once cooked, remove the sandwiches, let them rest for a minute, slice in half, and serve immediately for the best experience.
