Slow Cooker Savory Chicken and Cornbread Stuffing Delight
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package (6 oz) cornbread stuffing mix
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken: Lightly season the chicken breasts with black pepper on both sides. Place them at the bottom of your Crock Pot.
2. Blend the Soup and Broth: In a medium-sized bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup with chicken broth until well combined. Pour this mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the Crock Pot.
3. Add Seasoning: Sprinkle the poultry seasoning over the chicken and soup mixture.
4. Layer the Vegetables: Add the chopped celery and onion on top of the chicken.
5. Prepare the Stuffing: Evenly distribute the dry cornbread stuffing mix over the chicken and vegetable layers.
6. Cook in the Crock Pot: Cover the Crock Pot with its lid. Set it to cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours. Let it cook until the chicken is tender and cooked through, and the stuffing is moist and flavorful.
7. Serve and Enjoy: Once done, gently spoon out the chicken and stuffing onto a serving platter. Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.
