Soy Sauce Infused Vegetable Stir Fry Snack
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers (assorted colors)
- 1 cup sugar snap peas
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and chop the broccoli florets, slice the bell peppers, and trim the ends of the sugar snap peas. Mince the garlic cloves and grate fresh ginger.
2. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering but not smoking.
3. Sauté Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the hot oil. Stir continuously for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
4. Add Vegetables: Increase the heat to high and add the broccoli, bell peppers, and sugar snap peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 4 to 5 minutes until the vegetables are bright and just tender. They should have a slight crunch remaining.
5. Season with Soy Sauce: Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and sprinkle the red pepper flakes (if using), stirring well to evenly coat the vegetables. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
6. Season and Serve: Taste and adjust with salt and pepper as needed. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds over the vegetables for added flavor and texture. Immediately remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.
